Palo Alto Community Child Care (PACCC) Expands Additional Infant-Toddler Program in Downtown Palo Alto

Palo Alto, CA – December 12, 2025

Palo Alto Community Child Care (PACCC) is pleased to announce the beginning of Infant-Toddler Programming in downtown Palo Alto. This crucial expansion is in response to the Santa Clara County unmet childcare needs assessment, resulting in an increased capacity of 25%. The expansion is PACCC’s first step in scaling to meet the anticipated subsidized childcare needs associated with the Lot T 100% Affordable Housing Project. Downtown Children’s Center (DCC) is PACCC’s first center and is in downtown Palo Alto, offering easy access for Palo Alto, East Palo Alto and Menlo Park’s low-income families.

The Santa Clara County Office of Education shares, “There are almost 11,000 subsidy-eligible children ages 0-2 in our county who are not receiving care.” Simultaneously, there is an over-abundance of allocated preschool spaces, due in part to the introduction of Transitional Kindergarten (TK) programs. In response to the evolving and crucial child care needs of Palo Alto, Santa Clara County Office of Education has requested Title 5 preschool providers to scale Infant-Toddler spaces.

The Palo Alto Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 555 Waverly Street, Palo Alto, Ca. 94301 on Thursday, January 15 at 5:00 pm.

PACCC CEO, Lee Pfab invites the community to attend the ribbon-cutting, “Please join us as we celebrate our continued vision to invest and build 21rst-Century education and care for Palo Alto’s most precious asset – the children!”
